Easy and relaxing. The beach was fun, the ocean was calm and easy to jump into especially for a 4 and 7 year old. I highly recommend it for families.

Rosemary was able to move my family into this unit when an issue with the original unit arose. She responded quickly to the issue and we appreciated her attention to the problem. Worked out great and we were able to enjoy our vacation. Thanks Rosemary!

The unit had everything we needed and much more for our family of 5! The unit and the property are just as pictured. Check in and check out was easy.

It was a beautiful, updated unit - that being said, I was very disappointed with location for the following reasons:

* The downstairs unit was being remodeled (electric saws and hammering) the first 3 days;
* The same day the remodeling stopped (Friday), large groups of people moved into the park directly adjacent of the unit and camped all weekend, partying all night (the lawn in the picture actually belongs to the park, so they were almost directly under our balcony) for the next 3 days (thru Sunday);
* There wasn't enough parking available in the parking lot and sometimes we had to park on the street;
* Homeless are living in their cars directly across the street from the condo parking lot where we had to park because it's the entrance to the park next door;
* Did not feel safe getting from car to unit late at night and sometimes even during the day as we were sometimes watched;
* The resort's swimming pool was freezing cold the entire time (obviously not heated);
* The beach area is quite small/narrow, especially at high tide;
* The beach itself was not good for swimming - had to watch for sharp rocks and there was a steep drop off close to the shore that had a strong undertow.

Overall, I Did not feel I got value for my money because of the location issues; however, the unit itself is very nice.

This is our second time staying at Makani A Kai in the unit we stayed.
Loved the location- central to all other areas of the island we wanted to explore. The morning walks on the beach we’re a great way to start the day. Loved all the upgrades. It is a nice cozy, quiet resort area and was an ideal place to relax and recharge.

We had a good experience. The communication with Destination Maui was very good. The condo was exactly as it was in airb&b pictures. The condo was clean and in good condition.

We love this unit overlooking the shore and the local beach park. It's the perfect escape from the resorts and hotels in the best location to explore. We're 3 friends (50+) who have been enjoying B7 for 4 trips and we're already talking about when the next one will be!

After a long and tiring flight, it was such a sight for sore eyes to see a comfortable, inviting room filled with light and an ocean view when we opened the door. The whole unit was impeccably cleaned and well maintained. The unit description was accurate. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, utensils, and cooking ware. It had an efficient dishwasher that was easy to use. The ocean view is just like in the picture. The unit also included two boogie boards, two beach chairs as well as a yoga mat. These came in handy as we visited a different beach every day.
The unit is centrally located. It is very close to the Maui Ocean Center and the harbor where we took a boat trip to the Molokini Crater. It seemed like all the baches were about 20 minutes away. The property manager was very professional and accommodating. I would definitely recommend this vacation unit to my friends and family. We look forward to returning.
