Kuleana Resort 401

Our 4th time staying at Kuleana. We stayed in unit #401. What an absolute blessing for the soul to wake up to coffee and paw-paw on the lanai.
Everyone (staff and gursts) were so friendly.
Pool is a 10 as are the grounds.
Room a bit small but nicely decorated.

Rented the Kuleana Resort 401 for its location and was very happy with the Condo. It was clean and stocked well. The small beach was a short walk outside past the little grassy area. The BBQ grills were very very clean which made BBQing great! Cristina at the rental office was fantastic to work with. I loved staying there.

One of the longer condo shorelines with lots of grass to walk up and down to look out to the other islands and look for turtles and whales. The lighting of the tiki torches at sunset is really special and makes it truly feel relaxing and like this is a vacation not just a stop over. This 1st week in December there were many people who have come back at the same time for many year and became our friends. Great atmosphere . Nice pool and location to many nice beaches. Loved cooking breakfast and eating on our lanai almost every morning. Walking to Bad *** coffee every morning. These become rituals. 2nd time at Kuleana we will go back again.

Kuleana is my favorite place to stay in Maui because it is so beautiful and peaceful. The unit is quiet and comfortable.

The view and location were amazing. We watched turtles from our patio. We were steps away from great snorkeling. The place was very well appointed with a well stocked kitchen. We absolutely loved this place, and were looking forward to 8 nights in paradise. Unfortunately, one night I was awoken by something crawling on me and found a bug on my mattress. I captured it to identify it. It was a bedbug. I brought it to the front desk the next morning. The woman at the front desk took the captured bug and took a picture of the bite on my arm. She told me management would get in touch. After a bit I finally heard back that they had had the unit inspected and were told that no bugs were found. Given that they had proof positive of a bedbug, I believe management is being quite lax. This is the 3rd time that we have stayed at this condo. It really is a wonderful place but I don't regret cutting this trip short. I do not like sleeping with bedbugs! I would have rated this 5 stars if it were not for the bedbug and lack of treatment.

We always have a wonderful time. We know most of the office and grounds staff and enjoy a good visit with them. They go beyond job description to help.

We have stayed at the Kuleana for the last 16 years. The setting is just right for wheelchair use and the view never gets old. The entire staff is friendly and so helpful. We already made plans for next Janauary.

The room was nice, the view was spectacular! Note if you leave your patio porch you’re required to use you mask ! They have a person walking around checking for mask, even if you’re at the beach they still want you wearing your mask ! I found it very tire some and I unneeded when you’re the only one down on the beach!

We stayed here because the management would only let us rebook within the year rather than give us a refund when everything shut down. When we arrived, the management was very rude to guest about enforcing the mask rules, yet when the residents in the condo broke the same rules, they said nothing. Literally was told to put a mask on as I was dripping wet getting out of the ocean. I wish we didn’t have to stay there, but our only other option was to pay for the unit and not go, since they refused to refund us despite being in a world wide pandemic. I wish we could have rebooked at a different condo that at least had a sandy beach, more flexible management group.
