Kuleana Resort 302

I stay in the Kuleana for several years now. 1st time in this unit. It was clean, lots of kitchen amenities and close to the pool. The office there was great to deal with and I would recommend it

Nice place to stay. The grounds and pool maintenance is excellent. Loved having own dryer/washer
Clean. Couch was not comfortable. Needed a hair dryer.
Appreciated our ground level .

We have stayed at this condo complex many times. This is our first in this unit. We loved being so close to the heated pool. The ocean view was great. It had everything we needed. It is close to grocery stores and restaurants. We would definitely stay in this unit again.

This is our 3rd stay in unit #302 as it has a perfect view of ocean and like 20 steps to heated pool, however this unit is now in need of some attention. I.E. furniture, cutlery, dishes, bath tub, bed.

Great place. Love the pool and the grounds! Bonus is the view, we could see spouting every day and turtles down in rocks at shore.

This particular unit is placed perfectly between the pool and the ocean view. The grounds and pool are daily maintained meticulously.

The location was great with poolside and partial ocean view. The grounds are well maintained and very beautiful.

The unit itself is outdated. It smelled very musty and mildewed.

The queen size bed sags in the middle and makes noise with even the slightest movement which combined made sleeping difficult.

The unit had no bbq tools other than a set of tongs and minimal dishes. The coffee filters were basket yet the coffee maker used cone filters. It also had no inside broom to sweep the tile floors. The swiffer was broken and the small rechargeable vacuum had no battery.

The dishwasher racks are missing posts and they are rusty. No one has cleaned around the stove itself for a long time.

There was an ant issue. Many on the deck and inside as well. Had to keep all food and empty soda cans in the fridge and freezer or the ants would be on the countertops.

The rain spout drains right outside the bedroom window and rattles all day and night even with minimal rain showers.

Have stayed in this resort before and love the location however this unit was quite disappointing.

This was our 2nd time at Kuleana Resort 302, we were there in 2020, and then along came COVID19. It is a beautiful, friendly place to relax for a week. The turtles weren’t there this year, but the whales were! The a/c, washer/dryer, fans, stove, micro all in good shape. We had a great time.

Enjoyed our stay. Dirty footwell on approach to our condo. No broom. No cutting board. No wine glasses. No markings on stove controls - annoying. Kitchen generally well stocked but missing a medium sized sauce pan. Ugly bleached artificial plant on lanai should be removed. Condo grounds and pool very well looked after. Above issues are small but can impact on quality of stay.

It was a beautiful place that my Lord Jesus provided for me and freinds to stay...the accommodations were absolutely beautiful..prophetic. we are Christians, with the different wall hangings..God often speaks to me from hummingbirds yeah..first thing I saw...the wall encouragements were right on..love dwells in a happy heart. was lovely thank you and merry christmas

Loved the location and unit...right on the pool and views of the Ocean on either side...read a book on the beach everyday with the beach chairs, awesome!

The condo is simple and cute. We spent most of our time on the go but when we not we hung on the lanai or overlooking the ocean from the lush complex grounds. There is no beach access but there is swimming access and a fishing point which we utilized. There are several beaches minutes away. Beautiful rainbows and dozens of turtles daily and sunsets nightly. The complex is active but very peaceful and quiet. The location to the big beaches in every direction took minutes to get there. The S-Turn beaches are low key but perfect for a quick beach fix.

The whole process of renting the property was simple and completed online. KUL302 is convenient to access to the parking lot. It was accurately described as to location, layout and amenities, well maintained. We had no reason to contact the manager for service since we had no issues during our stay. We would certainly recommend this property for a couple to stay at. There are numerous attractions, restaurants, golf courses, tours etc.. in the area.
The resort has great security and well maintained. Great place to stay.

We've stayed at the Kuleana in the past, but this was our first experience staying in this particular unit. While thrilled to get back to the islands after 3 years, the unit was underwhelming and felt like an afterthought.
The positives:
beautiful location
beautiful views / gardens / pool
nice beach / island decor

The negatives:
paper-thin walls
mold in the shower (which we easily cleaned)
a warped sliding door that can only be held closed with a dowel (does not lock)

Was a beautiful location and property excellent location. Walking distance to everything. Landscaping and whale watching superb. Only improvement would be window coverings need attention as well as no cutting boards and many dishes chipped and pots chipped which should be replaced. Low on coffee mugs as well as wine glasses. Unit could use a cleaning out of drawers/closets. I have a place myself in Palm Springs and its a semi annual exercise to get rid of books and surplus items people leave so not cluttered. Overall clean though and very comfortable. Would definitely return.

Upon first glance from the road you would give Kuleana Resorts a second glance but once you step outside of your room the view, the pool (heated) the grounds are way above what you would expect! We spent so much time on our lanai enjoying our stay and had the perfect spot (unit #302) to watch the whales.
The room was totally average and some things like the drapes and bathroom could use remodeling however we soon overlooked these flaws and enjoyed our stay, wefertainly we consider staying here again.

Kuleana Resort is an older resort beautifully maintained. The week we stayed in Unit 302 was lovely as was the unit itself. Unit 302 is updated, clean and well organized. The AC is in the bedroom and is slightly loud. We managed without it using the ceiling fan. The unit is located close to and facing the pool with an ocean view. We spent a lot of time at the pool so it was convenient for us. Beach access is a very short walk. Snorkeling is convenient with lots of sea turtles to see. Renting directly from the resort was easy. All the staff are very accommodating, friendly yet professional. All units are individually owned, therefore, decor and condition of each unit varies. Again, we enjoyed our stay in Unit 302.

Pros: Good location close to shops, great views. Great Snorkeling spot with resident turtles. Amenities in unit was good. Well maintained swimming pool.
Cons: Dishwasher and Pull out sleeper was old. Needs replacements. Smoke Alarm started beeping in the middle of the night requiring the battery to be changed. AC was only in 1 room.

Overall good trip for a family of 4.

We booked this condo through AirBnB, so not sure what the other property descriptions say, but the description on AirBnB was pretty accurate. Check in and check out was a breeze.

It was a nice, very clean and quaint location for me and my husband - we stayed for 8 nights. This unit (302) would be a tight squeeze for a family of 4. The A/C was only in the bedroom, but on full blast, it spread to the living room area and was nice on warm days. The bed itself was a little uncomfortable though. The condo itself was clean and was equipped with all of the items you'd find at a hotel (linens, towels, toilet paper, hair dryer) as well as laundry detergent (for the in-unit washer/dryer), new sponge, dish soap, dishwasher tablets, paper towel roll, and trash bags. Kitchen fully stocked with pots/pans/dishes/cups, but no pantry items (which was fine - we were close to many grocery stores). The entire resort itself was well-maintained and clean as we could see the maintenance staff clean the pool/grills every single morning.

We were literally next to the pool, so we could hear the kids playing every night, but the pool was closed at 9pm sharp so it wasn't any issue for us. The best part of our experience was that we were a couple minutes walk to the ocean and beautiful sunsets, and there were always a couple of sea turtles we could see/swim/snorkel with! There was a small beach entrance to the left where we could play in the water. It was a wonderful, relaxing experience and we would love to return, although I'd like to try one of the units that was closer to the ocean (west side of the pool) as you could see the sun setting over the horizon without leaving the lanai. Our unit was on the east side of the pool, so we had to take a short stroll for the unobstructed view.

Overall, we were quite satisfied with our stay here and would not hesitate to book at Kuleana again.

We stayed in 302 and it’s a nice location, clean and nicely equipped unit. We added time here to add on to our time share week. Easy check in with Regina. Easy access to the pool and nice view of the ocean

It was ok, we were a bit disappointed w/ a few things: tv didn’t work in bedroom, 1/2 dozens roaches were swept outside, bathroom faucets were funky, no cutting boards( as stated in supplies) available and a very short supply of “start kit”w/ very little PT’s, foil,ziplocks, large trash bags. We’ve been coming to Maui over 20 yrs and have family there we usually stay with at Lokelani and are very familiar w/ Kuleana and have always loved the grounds. This particular unit didn’t meet our expectations, nothing is a showstopper we were just a little disappointed.
