Description Description
Beachfront Kihei Beach unit 401 is a 2 bed/2 bath corner unit on the 4th floor of the 1st building, at the north edge of the property right in front of the pool. Extra windows provide even more expansive ocean views and also let in lots of light. Pick up some fresh local food to prep in the fully remodeled kitchen (2020), then finish it off at the property's gas grills & talk story with other guests, as the locals say. Get/give tips on where else to go on island! Having meals on your private lanai while being mesmerized by the goings-on out in the blue, blue Pacific is an experience you will never forget. Bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms. The master has a king bed & a large window that gives you more of that in-your-face-ocean view you'll never tire of, while the second bedroom has twin beds and a bathroom with a (walk-in shower), the living area has a sleeper sofa so the condo is allowing for 6. Two flat screen TVs with complimentary cable, WiFi & local phone; central AC, ceiling fans, and an in-unit washer/dryer that's super convenient. The resort itself is a real gem. You will enjoy talking story (as the locals say) with fellow guests to share your Maui adventures and get tips on where to go next. Life couldn't be more pleasant and relaxing than this! Flat screen TV with complimentary cable, WiFi and local phone; central AC and ceiling fans. Coin-operated laundries on the 3rd & 5th floors near the elevator are convenient. Nestled into a quiet and safe community, the vibe here is one of low-key local that lets you know you are in an authentic place, not some theme-resort. Centrally located in North Kihei, Kihei Beach Resort is a favorite of return travelers. From here you can venture forth with low commute times (15-45 minutes) to enjoy most of the awesome adventures and attractions Maui has to offer. Two long & winding roads - one to the summit of Haleakala & the other through the rainforest heading to eastside Hana. These are longer treks to places remote, but places not to be missed if one can help it. On days you want to stay close to base, stroll the (almost empty) 3 mile stretch of white-sand shoreline north to Ma'alaea. The resort's 1.3-acre grounds tempt you to stay and relax by the pool, sunbathe on the beach or claim a lounge chair under a palm tree and read a book. From the grounds & pool you have panoramic, nothing peek-a-boo-about-them coastline views that extend south to the Makena cinder cone, sweep out across the water past Molokini Crater. Neighbor islands Kahoolawe, Lanai and then north to Maalaea Bay with its backdrop of stark white windmills marching up the sharp ridges of the West Maui Mountains. During high season (Dec-April) humpback whales (mamas, babies, and guardian males) find shelter in Maalaea Bay; watching them breach is always thrilling. All year round you will savor spectacular sunrises & sunsets by day, and star-studded skies and silvery moonbeams dancing on the Pacific by night. It's fun that Kihei Canoe Club is next door to the resort. Watching the canoes during practices or races is a cool diversion few resorts can offer. On Tuesdays & Thursdays the club offers visitors an opportunity to paddle out with them ($40 donation) so worth it! Across the street is a quaint collection of local treasures: a farmer's market featuring local fruits & veggies, Ululani's Shave Ice Store, Sugar Beach Bake Shop & an ABC convenience store. You will find yourself there more often than you think. It is priceless. By the way, this condo is professionally managed by Destination Maui Vacations, an on-island management company with more than 40 years of history on the island. Our offices are located nearby with an easy-to-reach, courteous staff. We love to help & will do our best to ensure you have a wonderful stay on Maui! 1 vehicle per unit free parking.

Fabulous stay
We have stayed in this unit for 3 years in a row. The location is fabulous, overlooking Sugar Beach. Upon our arrival the unit is always very clean. The kitchen is well equipped and the unit is very comfortable. The location couldn’t be more convenient..next to the canoe club, ( my Sister paddles), across from the Farmers market, shaved ice, and ABC. David does a wonderful job making sure the pool and grounds are clean. Cristina is our rental contact and she always gets back to us in a timely manner and very helpful to deal with. She provides the very best customer service every year. We beach walk and swim every day so this location is ideal on Sugar Beach. I would highly recommend this property and we will be returning every year without a ’s a paradise to wake up to every morning.

An Amazing View And A Delightful Home Away From Home
As you walk in the door the first thing you notice is the amazing view. The sound of the ocean is delightful day and night. The hosts are very easy to work with and quickly answer any questions. The condo is well stocked. The grounds are well kept up. And the beach and ocean are right there! Lovely and easy to take a long stroll along the beach. And if you go during whale season . You can watch them all day long!

Fantastic stay- we'll be back!
It was our 2nd trip to Maui, but our first staying at this condo & complex. We loved everything about staying here!(and have just re-booked for next year) The condo was beautifully decorated, modern and we loved having the corner unit. Super easy parking & the condo complex is in a great location for island activities. Fantastic whale watching from the lanai everyday.

Gorgeous Views at a Beachfront Condo on Sugar Beach
The views at this condo were the absolute best part of this spot! The window to the right as you walk into the unit makes the whole condo feel so open. It's right on Sugar Beach so you walk down and you can take a walk on the beach for a nice morning or sunset walk. Down the beach we were able to see sea turtles and so many beautiful views. The condo has a more updated kitchen which was nice. It was easy to get in and out of the condo and the main bedroom view of the beach and sea was so nice to wake up to. The patio furniture had a good quality and so nice to sit on as you eat any meals. Another thing we liked is having a washer/dryer unit as well. There's everything you need for cooking meals and also gear for little adventures like snorkeling and boogie boarding. Overall we would recommend this spot to anyone who wants easy access to the beach and close places like the ABC store for general items and Ululani's Hawaiian shave ice which we frequented. Thank you for the amazing stay!

Great Stay in Maui
Our family of four stayed in Unit 401 at Kihei Beach Resort for four nights. We had a terrific time in a perfect location to explore the island. North Kihei is quiet and less congested than further south in the heart of Kihei. The condo is on Sugar Beach, which is lovely and less developed, so it feels more like a neighborhood beach. Not sure that it is great for swimming, but it is wonderful for long walks. It is also centrally located, making it easy to explore all areas of the island. We went upcountry and hiked Haleakala, explored along the north shore, and went to beaches from Waimea to Makena and La Perouse Bay. The condo is on the corner of the building, so it gets lots of light from a large window on the side, and the lanai has a view on two sides. Picture perfect for morning coffee and watching the outrigger boats practicing and going in and out of the clubs next door. The kitchen is incredibly well stocked with cooking equipment, there are games to play, beach gear to use, and a couple of TV's. The bedrooms and living area are well furnished and totally comfortable. Feels like the owners thought of everything, especially for families.

Wonderful location and condo; awesome property manager
This is a great place to stay! Everything you would need within walking distance. The best sandy beach for paddling, walking for miles, and just relaxing. Glorious views from every lanai. Our property manager was Sherry and she helped us with a couple of condos on this trip - she is especially amazing!

Great Home Base
This is a great condo in a central part of Maui. It was easy to get to Wailea, Lahaina, Paia, the airport and inland hikes. The pool was lovely, the beach was so close - and great for morning walks and playing in the sand. The condo has been updated in many areas. It was ideal having a washing machine/dryer/dishwasher/kitchen, AC, fans in each room and a balcony to watch the sunset. I would definitely stay here again with my family.

Nice Stay
Beautiful views and the sounds of the waves, even with the windows closed was amazing!!! Some friends stayed in unit 503 and their unit has been renovated and it’s VERY nice. 401 is a corner unit so it also has a large window by the dining table which add extra natural light and views. If you don’t care about a newer looking unit, this is for you. This one could use a bit of a facelift. I think that would be accomplished with new art work on the walls and new bedroom furniture and bedding. Other than that it is a nice condo. Well equipped with everything you need to cook and clean. Beware, tiny bugs in the kitchen and bathrooms. I don’t think it’s the properties fault, more of a Hawaii thing so I do t blame the resort. Just thought I’d mention it. Loved the beach equipment! There is also a mini library in the closet and a few board games. Oh something weird, bbq grills are right next to the dumpsters. Would be nice if they were placed somewhere else! Over all, good stay. Wish I could say I’d be back but if I visit Maui again I will definitely stay in Lahaina. Oh hope you aren’t a light sleeper because the roosters don’t know how to tell time! Lol
The final question of the survey is, “would you recommend this property to a friend?” I am struggling with this one. My answer is both yes and no. It honestly depends on what you are looking for in a vacation!

A tired condo
Our Condo at Kihei Beach resort had some quirks that were annoying. The stopper for the front door wouldnot stay up and it was constantly stopping the door before it would close. The door handle to the main bedroom kept falling off when you would try and close the door. The air conditioner had no force and did not push out cool air.
there were little bugs in the kitchen all of the time.

Kihei Beach Resort Unit 401
Perfect location, central on the island, Unit was clean, basically in good condition. Had some issues with the lanai sliding door being difficult to open and close and reported it and it was repaired promptly. We didn't report the screen door not being intact and allowed a small flying (similar to a nat) in the unit. That was the biggest issue. They didn't bite, but were just annoying. There was some standing water next to the property and this unit is close to it. All in all a great stay and would stay again.
