Kealia Resort 506

508 was amazing for our family of 4 - 1 bedroom but the loft bed was perfect for our two kids (age 7, 9). Loved that the suite came with beach chairs, boogie boards, snorkel gear.. and the kitchen had everything we could need! We ate in a lot and lacked nothing! The lanai was great for morning coffee and always had shade. Whale watching was prime and the beach was better than all the beaches they tell you to visit in Maui!!

We had a great stay! The management company was very professional, communicative, and gave recommendations for the area. Our place was clean and stocked with items we needed for the week. We’d definitely stay here again!

As a former owner at Kealia Resort we love coming back to renew old acquaintances and make new ones. There is nothing quite like the vibe of a small resort right on the ocean and having a 6 mile, un-crowded beach to walk on.

Perhaps the only downside, and really nothing the resort has any control of are the encampments in the treed area along the beach. I am surprised that the county of Maui with all of the tourist money coming in hasn't done more to help the homeless and under-homed residents of Maui.

Beautiful view of ocean and whales from balcony. Sunsets and rainbows are also seen from balcony and beach. 5 miles of beautiful beach to walk. Friendly people. Sheryl and Justin who help run complex are super, very friendly and helpful. Kitchen is extremely well equipped to make any meal. The road to Hana is a must while in Maui. Whale watching tours give you an up close adventure.

The site was great. Room was beautifully equipped and decorated as well. Right on the beach and beautiful grounds. However not family/ children friendly. Arbitrarily new swimming pool rules put up to limit access for children under 18- with or without parental supervision. Most all kids love a pool regardless of ocean present. We were very unhappy about this. Feel we need to be compensated as limited kid activities 5 hours a day - supposedly so s few elderly people can watch a 10 minute sunset in quiet. Very disappointed. I would just alert vacation planner s to assure they are family kid friendly before reserving. Very disappointed.

This place was gorgeous! It was so nicely decorated, well appointed, and in a fantastic location. It was wonderful hearing the surf all night, watching whales from the balcony, watching the sunset, and walking on the beach. It was a super relaxing vacation. We hope to come back soon!

We were lucky to get a week in 506 this year. We have stayed at the Kealia several times and management is always super helpful with any issues. This unit is clean and had everything we needed. The master bedroom's loft bed is handy for families, although the living room has a lot of furniture so it is quickly very cramped if you have more than 2 people. Overall another great stay.

We had a one bedroom apartment that was cozy and well stocked with most everything we could need. Located right on the beach, it was amazingly easy to enjoy our stay. Only hiccup was the elevator that broke down on the last few days we were there.

opening windows to hear the sea also brings with it noise from the road, which isn't something I was expecting.

I came to Maui to help my son with a personal matter, (he has resided in Maui for the past 8 years and prior on Oahu for 2 years) this is approximately my 15th time to Maui. I always stay at vacation rentals, and am very familiar with both of our expectations. Loved the condo itself, offered a great location with an awesome view. Beds were comfortable, with adequate space, plenty of storage, 2 TVs, nice fridge, plenty of pots pans and dishes. Unit itself was perfect, management on the other hand was not. I checked in for a 13 day stay on a Saturday, so I didn’t speak to her til Monday when I checked in, she didn’t appear very friendly on my first impression. Next day I went to take a walk on the beach, walked past the woman I said good morning, slightly acknowledged, no mention of pest control coming in a couple hours. Tuesday I decided to finally go to pool (have been stressed out), I made it a point to read the many signs posted, especially pertaining to the pool, I noticed the lounge chairs were stacked in a pile, I brought down chair from the room, was at pool for 10 minutes on the phone with my husband, when management came up to me, the only person at pool to inform me I could not have my own chair, didn’t I notice other chairs stacked up, no socializing, hour limit and if I want to lay out “I could go to the beach”, both my husband and I were shocked at her lack of professionalism, I left right away, forget about relaxing. A couple days later my 3 grandkids were visiting us we went to the pool, now my second time there, and very quickly my 4year old granddaughter announced she had to go to bathroom, my son rushed her up 5 flights of stairs, less than 5 minutes after he returned, he was strictly told about mask wearing policy, we left pool and went to the room.I am very aware of mask wearing policy in HI, and I fully respect it, I seen several people going around with no mask, no problem.
