Kealia Resort 405

The location is wonderful! You walk out the door and begin your long walk on a Sandy beach. The ocean is calm enough that you can swim right in front! Snorkeling isn’t good here close to shore but you can drive for that. The building is older and not so posh but was built in a great place! There’s even a grassy area with beautiful trees adjacent.

The condo was super clean and comfortable with all the essential kitchen amenities. The condo is right on the beach and has great access (nice walking path).

This location was perfect for us. The resort is steps away from the beach where we walked and swam every morning. You can walk for miles up the white sand beach. Water in front of the condo is calm so swimming or boarding is great. The property was very clean and had recently been updated with new appliances and a king size bed. The manager, Sherry was great as she is very accommodating and friendly. I would highly recommend this property.

I always stay at Krakatoa Resort when I come to Maui. The location is the best and virtually all.units have great views. The entire resort is modern and all units are well equipped. The grounds are impeccable!

Highly recommend.

Great stay. Things to know:at least 5 minute drive to town of Kihei, rare open space adjacent to condo, swimmable beach right in front, A/C is only in living room, and Manager often not in office. Rental personnel extremely helpful.

We have stayed in this unit many times in the past. We like the location close to the beach and away from the commercial part of Kihei. The birds and waves are a sound we enjoy hearing 24/7 as we don't use the air conditioner so cannot comment on it.The unit was well stocked and the starter supplies great. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We had no issues while we were there. I was VERY happy to see the owners had finally put in a large cooler with 2 large ice packs to use for day trips. That was a great surprise. The description of the unit online needs to be updated as the owner has taken out the phone so there is no long distant calling to family to let you know you arrived or local calling to make inquiries or reservations during your stay. We will return to Kealia Resort as it is a relaxing place to unwind.

We had a great time staying in the Kealia Resort with Destination Maui. The instructions provided to access the unit upon arrival were perfect and allowed us to quickly and easily get into the unit and the parking garage. The unit was clean and well stocked. The bunk beds and king size bed were great for our family. There was a great view of the ocean and of the small beach behind the building. The beach itself was great, as there were usually not many other people on that section of the beach, and the resort had a bucket of sand toys available for use near the washing up area. The neighbors were also very friendly, several of whom commented how much they loved seeing and talking with my kids. The only two things we found missing from our unit itself were a first aid kit and sand toys that we could take with us to other beaches. Overall, a great place to stay, definitely recommend.

This was my third visit to Kealia Resort and unit 405 was the best yet. Very clean with all that I needed for cooking. Also had a great view of the beach and sunsets. Sherry (property manager) is very responsive. I will return!

The accommodations and conditions were excellent.
A very nice place for everyone. Kids would love this quiet and nice place.

The owner(s) of Room 405 provide all amenities for a perfect stay. We love the resort because of its central location AND especially the thorough attention provided by managers Sherry and Norma Jane.
Most mornings we walked 3-4 miles along Sugar Beach. Some mornings we would walk 5 minutes north to join the paddle at the Maui Canoe Club, or 15 minutes south to the Kihei Canoe Club.
