Hono Kai Resort B7

It was perfect. This place was comfortable, clean, we could hear the waves from the balcony. The ocean view was amazing. The unit had everything we needed. We have been to Hawaii many, many, many times but this place was my favorite. The bedroom is next to the pool so that noise and people traffic is present but not too bothersome.

Spacious and comfortable second-floor apartment with balcony overlooking the entire bay. A short walk to the harbor with stores and restaurants, the apartment has everything needed, including a very well equipped kitchen. We thoroughly enjoyed breakfast on the balcony and being lulled asleep by the waves just steps away. They even have games and puzzles in case of rainy days. There’s a beautiful beach just steps away. You’re only a 10
minute drive from the center of Kīhei. Christina from the management company was super responsive and helpful with any questions we had. Definitely a five star review.

The condo has the most amazing ocean view from the Lanai. It’s quaint, clean and has everything that I needed. I had some noisy neighbors and luckily the property manager was right on site to address my concerns.

We loved this condo! Our friends were in a different unit in the same building, and ours was so much nicer! It had everything we needed (lots of beach toys/amenities, fully outfitted kitchen - including at least three french presses and two coffee grinders PLUS a drip coffee maker).

The unit has AC, but we only ran it for about 30 minutes when we first arrived to cool the place down. After that, we just used ceiling fans and windows to keep comfortable.

The pool looked small, but it worked pretty well for just cooling off.

There is a laundry room on each floor (hours are 7:00am until 8:00pm, $2.50 for wash, $2.75 for dry - coin changer is only in the first floor laundry room). There are no detergents available, so you should either bring some with you or plan on buying (our condo provided 2 pods, which was a nice start for our 2 week trip).

During our stay, parking was plentiful. Our rental car was pretty large (4 door Jeep), and we never had difficulty finding a spot large enough for it.

All in all, this is one of the best condos I've rented over the course of 15+ years in staying in Maalaea.

Before our arrival we were told the were fans in the room due to a leak from the storm. Other than the wet carpets the room was great.

We had beautiful views of the whales breaching and the water. This condo is very dated but clean. Rosemary with Destination Maui Realty is a gem to work with.

Our rental exceeded expectations. The view was phenomenal. However in Maui, there is probably not a bad place. The condo was clean, had everything we needed, and super spacious. We went with our two year old and had an amazing time. It is super close to the water. The beach spans from miles in miles. I also found several lovely shells that seem to collect right by the steps near our building. When I return to Maui, I will book this place again. Unit B7 was amazing. Directly faced the ocean.

Location can’t be beat. View is spectacular. Unit needs some updating (bathroom), deck table is wobbly, but unit was clean. New management are making improvements around the complex. I would make a suggestion to put on a screen door. There is a marvelous cross breeze so you don’t need to use the air conditioner, but leaves blow in and make a bit of a mess. We had a fabulous holiday.

The building needs a lot of care. Outside paint is horrible.looks dirty
No manager most of the time we were there. .
We were in unit B7 and unit above had loud renters.
Outside landscaping was very pretty.gardner did a great job making the place look nice. Won’t recommend anymore til place looks better. We have stayed at the HonoKai for over 30 years. Was better condition and better managed way back the
